Model Farm again

back at m/farm again yesterday myself and three mates

it fished really well all 7 of us were catching 1 mate had a really good day catching steadily for the
whole 8 hours we were there i had an excelent day myself with a good haul of tench
and 7-8 carp to 8lbs
in fact it pretty much fished its head off
left about 6 but two mates decided to stay on for the evening session
not seen them as yet so will be interested to find out how they got on

model farm (a good day)

went back to model yesterday fished all day for about 55lb of fish (mixed bag of tench orfe and ide)

a bloody great wind and rain shower that lasted for about 10 mins wrecked my brolly

but otherwise the conditions were perfect

a bit of a south breeze that lasted all day without geting too strong (apart from that squall)

carp were topping on and of all day but more so early morning

had quite a long chat with the owner a nice guy who likes to fish himself so he's well aware
what anglers want told me he has planing permission in for a speciman pond and has a few 25-30lb plus carp waiting in a rented stock pond,

so when this happens i will probably be a regular?
who knows.

A SPUR OF THE MOMENT THING

Well the suns trying to get out
And a little voice in my head is saying the weather forecast is not too bad
And you haven’t been to the mill pond at Ullrome this season
You could be there by 11 easy gives you a good five hours fishing
But I’ve also got a little voice in my ear whispering the dreaded words
CHRISTMAS SHOPPING
I don’t know which will win but the smart money is not on fishing
But we’ll see
Hopefully it will decide it cant find any thing to wear or its hairs a mess
So I may get 3 or 4 hours……..

long wait for the sun

It’s a cold wet day here in Hornsea
Out of my window I see the mists roll in and out over the sea bringing in the rain and taking it away, as the weather systems fade allowing me to see the horizon
In the distance a ship of some description possibly a tanker passes on the horizon
(Who’d be a sailor on a day like this?)
Thoughts turn to planning a major outing hoping to have two days at Bluebell Lake near Peterborough
It’s about 125 miles away and home to Benson (who as I write this as just been banked for the 60th time at 61 Lb) if I can find another venue on the way back
Maybe in Lincolnshire I may have a couple of days there as well so if any one has any suggestions please let me know
